This question is asked with a genuine intention, because UPSC Main exam sheets have questions followed by a fixed space thereafter.
I appeared in Main 2013 and I did not care about this aspect at all. Let me assure you that enough space is provided for each answer. Each answer (in Main 2013) was expected within 100 words and keeping in view a normal human being's handwriting, the space provided could accommodate at least 500 words (per answer!)
For your quick reference, the first line is my normal handwriting. Considering is smaller than average, nearly 70% space remained unused after each answer.

If you write as big as in the last sentence, you might have to worry.
